FIRST REVIEW: FIREFLIES - BY OWL CITY
Ok, I think it is very appropriate to review this song first because as of right now it is #1 on Itunes, and everyone knows it :P So anyway, onto my review of the song. I understand the appeal to this song. It's a breathe of fresh air, vocally and musically. Dance seems to be very big right now and this song sort of slices right through that. Plus people love good hippie-esk sort of songs! Now, with all of that out of the way, I am not a fan of this song as a whole. There are pieces of this song I really enjoy, like the great music! But the lyrics...I enjoy lyrics I can understand and connect with. The lyrics in this song...just don't make any sense, "I'm weird because I hate goodbyes...10,000,000 fireflies... I like to make myself believe, that planet earth moves slowly..." I mean, what? That's just mumbo jumbo! Not lyrics! Sounded like he was just scratching to the record then decided to keep it in the recording! I don't get it. And the thick Auto-Tune with his rock edge voice gets rather annoying after a while. So anyway, in conclusion, this song as an Instrumental is great, but as a whole, I'm not a fan.

Ehm ~ it's okay. the music is really catchy, but the lyrics are way too metaphoric ^^" because it's so metaphoric you can't even guess, what he really wants to say ^^"
